I started my search for a solicitor in Spain through the Gov.Uk site, and MSG Legal stood out from the rest.

We decide to buy a home in Spain. We had concerns about things we have read in the past regarding purchasing a house in Spain so we contacted A Place in the Sun to ask for assistance. They suggested we used a MSG Legal solicitors in Alicante, who they said would be thorough and they would check out the property we decided to buy to ensure there were no legal issues with it.

Our experience of MSG could not have been better.
This was over the course of one attempted purchase and one successful purchase accounting for nearly 18 months in order to have all proofs of ownership, all boundaries declared and any debts incurred or outstanding from the vendor to be settled... and most importantly the issue of certification which recognised the house as being recognised by the town hall planning on local and national registers... The AFO.

These are all elements of buying any rural property in Spain and often the advice from other sources were oh thats not important we got it later, or you dont need to bother with that. Our estate agent said disparingly that we would have the most legal property in Spain as if it were a problem.

We had read testimonies from previous clients, and we suggest everyone does the same as this is a reputable company with the highest values of service and expertise.

MSG always recognised that we were the clients and was respectful of our wishes at all times. He would call us regularly and explain how the purchase was progressing and why there were delays and ask how we would Iike to proceed. He would explain how we stood legally and ensured that we were aware of consequences of certain actions if taken or if ignored.

This firm are honourable, honest and expert - and they will protect your interests.

Language too was never a problem, my wife has a reasonable level of Spanish but when spending a large sum we opted to communicate always in English and Javier always explained everything several times in different ways to ensure our shared understanding.

We cannot recommend them highly enough. They will not let you down.
